Carolina Indoor & Outdoor Tennis Rules & Regulations

The following rules and regulations must always be followed. Any violations may result in removal from the facility and restrictions on future access. All rules and regulations apply to both indoor and outdoor facilities.

***** All court reservations, lessons, clinics, social, events are subject to change. Our USC gamecock men’s and women’s team & coaches will always have priority.

 

Prohibited Items

• No tobacco products are allowed, smoking and vaping are prohibited

• Glass containers, food, candy or gum are strictly prohibited on the courts ONLY water in plastic containers is allowed

• No bicycles, scooters, skateboards or such are allowed on the courts at any time. Only tennis related activities are allowed.

• Facility property may not be removed from the premises at any time this includes but is not limited to water coolers, signage and ball hoppers.

• No pets are allowed, service animals are permitted 

• No climbing fences, nets, furniture or any other item is allowed

• Firearms are prohibited from our tennis facilities

• Possession, use or sale of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances is strictly prohibited

• Threatening behavior verbal or physical, offensive or obscene language is not allowed

Shoe & Attire Policies

• Only tennis shoes or shoes with non-marking soles are permitted, all black soles shoes are prohibited. Shirts are to be worn at all times. Staff may refuse reservations or play if players don’t comply with these policies.

Coaching Policy

• Only Carolina Tennis Center & Athletics Department approved staff are allowed to give lessons at our indoor or outdoor facilities. All other lessons are prohibited. Violators will be issued a warning and asked to refrain from coaching. A second violation will result in the removal from the facility. A third violation will result in termination of your membership and possible denial of future access to the facility.

Check-In Procedures

• All individuals must check in at the front desk in the lobby.  We will provide you with the information you need.  For payment options we are only accepting credit/debit cards.  No cash or checks at this time.

Court Access

• Only players with reservations, their guests, and approved coaching staff from USC Athletics can use the courts. Spectators are welcome to watch lessons and matches from the stadium seats. Adults are responsible for any kids they bring along. Kids can't be left alone at the Carolina Tennis Center, and those not playing tennis can't be on the courts.

Cancellation Policy

• Lessons and court reservations will be considered late 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you arrive late, only the remaining time of your reservation will be available. Court and lesson reservations must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within the 24-hour period.

Amendment to Policies, Rules & Regulations

• The Carolina Tennis Center and the USC Athletics Department reserve the right to implement additional rules, regulations, or policies that are not explicitly outlined herein. All members and guests shall be required to adhere to these rules, regulations, or policies. A current copy of the Rules and Regulations will be readily available upon request.

Waiver of Liability & Damages

• Individuals who are under the age of 18 are required to obtain the signature of a parent or guardian, who will assume financial liability for the membership and provide a waiver of claims on behalf of the minor. Any damage incurred to property or equipment by any member, their guest, or dependent children shall be the responsibility of the member. Furthermore, all individuals aged 18 years and older, including both members and guests, must sign an Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk and Release prior to utilizing the facilities of the Carolina Tennis Center.

Activities

• Our facility is currently open for lessons, classes, and clinics conducted by Carolina Tennis Center staff, as well as for events and tournaments. Court reservations will be available to the public on an as-needed basis. Please note that our facility is not currently offering memberships
